Wyatt Wins the Futurity at Nationals!

What an awesome way to close out a crazy year! WYATT takes first place in the National Field Futurity in Ardmore, OK! Although I wasn't able to attend due to the border closure, Wyatt travelled to OK with his co-breeder, Carey and she handled him to his win. We are so grateful to Carey for hauling the big guy down there and doing so well with him. Along the way, he also picked up a 3rd place in Derby at a trial in Ohio. We see big things in store for Wyatt!
Puppy Placements at Nationals!

The Dash x Sally kids are growing up fast, and earning ribbons along the way! Wyatt, Josie and Huck ran in the National Open Walking Puppy stake at the Weimaraner National Field Trial this year. Congrats to Wyatt for a 2nd place ribbon and to Josie for a 4th! Wyatt also received a 3rd place AWP ribbon at the Irish Setter Club of Ohio in November. Looking forward to having fun with these kids in 2020!
Spring Hunt Test Results

It's been a quiet spring on the hunt test front as we have been busy with puppies, but we did have 2 dogs finish their FDJ titles! Congratulations to Georgia (pictured, Lowgun x Shade 2016) handled by Nicole Kteily, and to Brier (Sam x Shade 2016) handled by Darcie Godwin, for finishing up the last legs they needed, and with STYLE! Georgia received a score of 100 (Top Dog of the Day) and 98, and Brier received a 98 at the GSPC test on May 18th.
Field Futurity Placement at Nationals!

We were very proud of our co-owned boy, Brier, who placed 4th in his Field Futurity at the WCA National Field Championships! Brier spent the summer with pro trainer Nikolaus Scharpf. Nikolaus handled Brier in a couple warm up trials and brought home a few ribbons in Derby as well. Now 2 years old, Brier has graduated out of Derby and will take on more advanced field training this spring and summer.
Two New WCA Titles!

Congratulations to Belle and Shade for two new WCA titles this fall! Belle, handled by April received her Shooting Dog (SD) title. Shade, handled by JR, also received her SD title. Both girls ran on September 22nd at the North Michigan Weim Club Ratings Tests, held in LeRoy, Michigan. Thanks to the NMWC for a great day!
Sally Earns a NAVHDA Utility Prize!

Huge congratulations to Sally (NorthLink's Get My Shotgun JH CGC NAVHDA NA I (112) UTIII) and owner Carey Killion for their success in the Finger Lakes NAVHDA Utility Test on August 25th, 2018! They achieved a Prize III (162) on their first attempt and we are so proud, and happy that we get to cheer them on from the sidelines! Carey has done all her own training with the help and support of the Finger Lakes Chapter. Great work girls!

2016 WCA National Field Championship Results

Congratulations to Belle for placing 3rd in the National Futurity in Ardmore, OK. Belle is the 3rd Futurity placing dog we have had here at NorthLink and we're very proud. This was the first time being owner-handled from horseback. Belle's sister, Sally also competed at Nationals this year and both girls received an Honourable Mention for their efforts in the National Open Derby. A lot of hunt and a lot of heart!
Northern Harvest Hunt Club

JR and I took Belle & Shade to Manitoba for the 2nd Annual Northern Harvest Hunt Club. We had a great time hunting ruffed grouse, sharptail grouse, woodcock and snipe. The girls did a great job hunting, pointing and retrieving.

New FDJ Title for Sam

Congratulations to Sam for finishing his FDJ (Field Dog Junior) title this weekend! Sam earned his first leg in BC with his coowner as a yearling, so we were excited to be able to finish the title! Sam received scores of 91, 97 and 97 - great job!
Lowgun x Shade's Litter

Lowgun & Shade welcomed 8 puppies to the world on March 4th - 5 boys and 3 girls! We are extremely pleased with them and are excited to see them off to their new families in just a few days' time. Puppy selections will be finalized on Friday, April 22nd and puppies will start going home on April 30th. We have put a lot of work into raising these great pups are can't wait to see them bring their new families joy!

2015 WCA National Field Championship Results

We are thrilled to have brought home ribbons from the National Championship in Ardmore, OK for the 3rd year in a row with our juvenile dogs! This year, the kudos go to Sally (pictured) and Belle for placing in the inaugural Open Walking Puppy stake. April handled both girls and placed Sally 2nd and Belle 4th! We are extremely proud of our girls. Huge congratulations to Sally's owners, Carey Killion and Jason Shultz of NY!

Puppies Have Arrived!

The Otto & Ziggy puppies are here! Six beautiful pups arrived on August 10th - 5 males and 1 female. All puppies from this litter have been placed. Leif joins the NorthLink family and is coowned with Andrew Godwin.
Otto x Ziggy Puppies Due August 12th

We are eagerly expecting a litter of puppies on August 12th from Otto x Ziggy! This is a co-bred litter with Shadowpoint Weimaraners and the puppies will be whelped and raised by them. We are very excited by the blend of pedigrees and the amazing temperaments and personalities of both Otto and Ziggy. The puppies should be easy going, easy to live with, but should have excellent drive and desire and hunting instincts.

The Zeiss x Izzy puppies are here! NINE beautiful pups arrived on January 10th - 6 girls and 3 boys. Mom and pups are doing great! All puppies are spoken for.
Sam's In the Ribbons!

November and December were busy months for Sam. He took 2nd place in Open Derby at the Mid-America Classic, 2nd place in the National Field Futurity and 3rd in the National Open Derby in Ardmore, OK!
Back home in Ontario, we took Sam to a couple CKC shows for fun. On day one he took Winners Dog for 1 point and on day two he took Best of Breed for 2 points! Go SAM I AM!
