Sam was our pick from the Lincoln x Maggie litter and has shown himself to have an amazing combination of gentle, loving temperament and exceptional field ability.

Sam has started his competitive career, both in the field and the ring.  He is show pointed with CKC (including a major and a Best of Breed) and field pointed with AKC, along with other field trial placements, including 2 first place wins in Open Puppy and a second in Derby. Sam finished his Field Dog Junior title in May, 2016 with scores of 91, 97 and 97.

 

In December 2014, Sam placed 2nd in the Derby at the Mid-America Classic, and 2nd in the National Futurity.  He also placed 3rd in the National Open Derby.  At Nationals that year, he earned the nickname "Bird Vacuum"! During his Derby run, his handler ran out of blanks in her gun! He definitely has a nose for birds.

 

Sam has retired from competition and is living the life with his co-owner in BC.
